Submission Guidelines for Research on the Conservation of Cave Temples and Earthen Sites

 

Dear Authors,

We warmly welcome your submission to Research on the Conservation of Cave Temples and Earthen Sites. To ensure efficient processing of your manuscript and facilitate its timely publication, please carefully review the following submission guidelines before submitting your work.

Established in 2022, our journal focuses on fundamental research and practical applications in the fields of cave temple conservation, earthen site preservation, and archaeological science, both domestically and internationally. We publish cutting-edge theories, innovative methods, advanced technologies, and significant findings in cultural heritage conservation.Committed to bridging theory and practice, we aim to advance research and academic exchange in cultural heritage preservation. We sincerely invite submissions from scholars and experts worldwide.

1. General Submission Principles

All submitted research papers must represent original work that has not been published in any publicly distributed domestic or international publication.

2. Copyright Transfer & Confidentiality Review

(1) Upon acceptance, authors grant the journal exclusive global rights, including reproduction, distribution, digital dissemination, translation, and compilation. The journal is indexed in CNKI and other academic databases. Authors will receive a one-time remuneration covering all publication formats (print, CD, online).

(2)Manuscripts submitted elsewhere or containing plagiarized content will be rejected. Severe cases may result in public notification and institutional disciplinary action.

(3) The editorial board reserves the right to make non-substantive text revisions. Authors opposing edits must declare this during submission.

(4) Authors will receive a decision (acceptance/revision/rejection) within 3 months. Unresponsive after this period permits submission elsewhere.

(5) Submissions undergo initial screening, peer review, and plagiarism checks. Manuscripts failing scope, originality, or quality standards will be rejected.

(6) Authors must obtain institutional clearance for sensitive content.

3. Manuscript Requirements

(1) Submit in Microsoft Word via the online system (https://skytyz.dha.ac.cn).

(2) The first page must include:First authors full name, gender, birthplace, birthdate, alma mater, profession, academic title, degree, research field, postal address, phone, and email.

(3)Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within 2 months of editorial feedback. Late submissions will be treated as new submissions.

(4) Provide high-resolution images (300 DPI) in separate folders with captions and sources.

4. Manuscript Content 

(1) Academic Quality and Originality. Manuscripts should possess clear academic value, featuring a scientifically sound research design, rigorous methodology, detailed and reliable data, thoroughanalysis, and well-defined conclusions. The journal encourages research presenting original perspectives, methodologies, or discoveries.

(2) Content Completeness. Manuscripts must include all essential research components: Chinese and English titles, Chinese and English abstracts (including keywords), an introduction (clearly stating the research background, objectives, and significance), materials and methods (ensuring the study's reproducibility), results, discussion (providing an in-depth analysis of the results and clarifying connections to and distinctions from existing research), conclusions (summarizing key findings and their significance), acknowledgments (if applicable), and Chinese and English references. Figures and tables should be clear, necessary, self-explanatory, and accompanied by accurate bilingual (Chinese and English) captions and titles. Figures and tables must be cited sequentially within the main text. Data and results must be authentic and accurate; fabrication or falsification is strictly prohibited.

(3) Writing Standards. Manuscripts must be written in fluent, clear, and accurate language, adhering to modern Chinese linguistic norms.For detailed formatting specifications, please refer to the [Research on the Conservation of Cave Temples and Earthen Sites] Submission Template.

5. Formatting Specifications

(1) 6,000 characters; 15 images (exceptions for invited papers).

(2) Title: Concise (25 Chinese characters), with parallel English translation.

(3) Author Information: The manuscript must include complete biographical details for both the first author and corresponding author, including: Date of birth, Gender, Place of origin, Full institutional affiliation (specified to department/faculty level), City, Postal code, Position/Title, Academic degree, Research field.

For corresponding authors only: full mailing address, city, postal code, telephone number, and email.All institutional names must be provided in full in both Chinese and English. For authors from different institutions, affiliations must be clearly indicated. Foreign authors must specify country and full institution name. Author information cannot be modified after submission.

(4) Abstract:Structured (Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusions) in third person (300 words).English abstract must mirror Chinese content.

(5) Keywords: 38 bilingual keywords.

(8) Figures/Tables:Use three-line tables; bilingual titles (Chinese/English). Resolution: 300 DPI.

(9) Funding: Acknowledge grants with project names/numbers in a footnote.

(10) Footnotes:

Location: Bottom of first text page
Content order: Submission/revision dates, Funding sources, First author information, Other necessary notes.

(11) Headings: Level 1: No. 1, 2... (4pt Bold Heiti), Level 2: No. 1.1, 1.2... (Small 4pt Songti), Level 3: No. 1.1.1, 1.1.2... (Small 4pt Songti)

(12) Physical Quantities and Units:

Comply with Chinese National Metrological Standards (GB)

Physical quantity symbols: italic

Unit symbols: normal font
Special notes:Concentration: Use mass/volume/mole fraction or mass concentration (g/L) instead of ppm/ppb

Percentage concentrations must specify mass/volume basis

Ratios must specify mass/mole/volume basis
